When I speak of #servantmindedleadership, I often have people ask me about the difference between it and the more commonly known, #servantleadership.

This post reminds of of the heart of the Servant-Minded Leader. While the traditional servant-leadership model has its merits, it has been long marketed as a means by which to get more from one’s team. (i.e.: If you treat your team with dignity, they will work harder.) Meanwhile, the Servant-MINDED leader is less preoccupied with what they can get FROM their team, but is rather interested in what they can do FOR their team.

The Servant-Minded Leader recognizes that they are uniquely positioned to make a dynamic impact in the lives of those that they lead. They have the capacity to change the world via positively impacting one life at a time.

In the words of the great Martin Luther King Jr, “If I cannot do greater things, I can do small things in a great way.”

This is the heart of the Servant-Leader. We serve our people. It may seem small, but it is done in a great way and thus is has a life-changing #impact!

Let’s be amazing leaders!
Let’s do small things greatly!
Let’s change the world!
