There is a #leader in all of us.
Some of us #nurture, #discipline and #develop our inner leader.
Others suppress, deny, and sabotage our #leadership capacity.
Regardless of which of the groups we fall into, the first three lines of this image apply to us. As humans we ALL fall, break, and fail. It is part of our mortal existence. It is the unavoidable reality of life. It is often painful, but it is also where we have the most dynamic opportunities to make an impact and change the world.
It is the second list in the image that sets apart the leaders who flourish in their capacity from those who refuse to step into their destiny. Not everyone makes the choice to #rise, #heal, and #overcome! These are the true #leaders. These are the ones who are prepared to #serve others in their leadership. These are the ones with #empathy, #compassion, and yet also #discipline and #tenacity! These are the ones we respect and #honor. These are the ones who lead!
What group do you find yourself in?
Are you one who is nurturing your leadership capacity or one who is stifling it? Are you one who is willing to rise above defeat or one who is willing to allow failure to destroy you? What is your legacy?
This post is personal to me. I have experienced the “fall, break, and fail” in ways that most people will never understand. But because of that, I also grasp the reality of “rise, heal, and overcome” in ways that most simply cannot. It is this reality that provides me with the ability to lead in a way that is #empowering and #loving. It is in this space that (hopefully) I can provide dynamic value to other leaders who desire to leave a positive #legacy.
Today, I want to challenge you to step into the leadership capacity that you have! Do not allow failure to defeat you. Do not allow the opinions of others to discourage you. Do not allow your own self-limiting beliefs to prevent you from being the leader that is needed in your unique situation!
