Are you Investing in yourself?

This past weekend, I took a break—like a real one!

I went to a small cabin in the woods, about an hour from my home.
I left my computer 💻 at home.
I kept the TV 📺 off.
I restricted myself to 30 minutes of phone time 📱 in the morning 🌅 and evening 🌄.

In that beautiful place, I literally unplugged, unwound, and pondered life.
Without the call of an email every moment and other various distractions, I was able to gain significant clarity.
I thought and prayed 🙏
I read 📖
I wrote and journaled ✍
I played guitar 🎸and sang
And, for the first time in a long time, I slept A LOT! (avg. 10 hours per night)


In short, I was refreshed, and I returned Sunday afternoon with renewed strength, clarified vision, and recharged motivation. I returned as a better husband to my wife. I returned as a better leader for my people. I returned as a better servant-minded leader.
